Miami Yacht Show 2020 to Bring a Sea of Excitement to the Miami Waterfront
Ahoy mates . . . sun, surf, a bevy of magnificent yachts and a grand party. What’s not to love about the Miami Yacht Show? This year’s event promises to be more spectacular than ever before, starting with its new location at One Herald Plaza between the MacArthur and Venetian causeways on Biscayne Bay, next to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. The 60-acre display includes a massive 67,000-square foot exhibition space and more than 500 stunning yachts from the world’s foremost yacht and super yacht manufacturers and brokers. Yachts are showcased across three marina sites. The exhibition pavilion will house with 200 marine and like-minded brands offering everything for the boating lifestyle.
For those with a passion for exclusivity, first-time attractions include pop-up luxury retail, guest lounges and bars, exotic cars, private aircraft, and special events. The show’s exclusive Windward VIP Experience, presented by Ulysse Nardin, offers a premium open bar, gourmet food, happy hours featuring award-winning chef mixology, prestige wine tastings, and exclusive events, serving as a sanctuary to enjoy the show in a unique indoor/outdoor environment with spectacular marina views. Windward VIP guests will enjoy an exclusive preview of renowned watchmaker Ulysse Nardin’s latest innovations, including the international debut of a new Haute Horlogerie timepiece that embodies the finest in nautical luxury. Watchmakers will be onsite daily to demonstrate the latest technologies.
The first evening of the event features an extravagant Valentine’s Day party, supported by Compass real estate and Ulysse Nardin, the official timekeeper of the Miami Yacht Show. It offers live music, entertainment, wine by Chateau d’Esclans’ Whispering Angel Rosé, handcrafted Gosling’s Dark & Stormy Rum cocktails, Strega Moscow Mules, local fare from well-known Miami restaurants including Bodega, kissing booths, romantic dock strolls and more. Admission is $50 per couple, with proceeds benefitting the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami.
The new venue makes getting to the show more convenient than ever before with more than 3,500 parking spaces within walking distance. Easy access from Brightline and the Metromover, Water taxi service will connect the mainland location to Super Yacht Miami, the Miami Yacht Show’s satellite display of extraordinary super yachts at Island Gardens Deep Harbor on Watson Island.
The five-day event draws a global audience of more than 29,000 visitors and generates an estimated $486 million in economic output.
